A Campaign Build on the Common Good

About the Mark Scheffler for Congress Campaign

“I’m running for Congress because I believe we need to rebuild our politics on something deeper—on human virtue. Honesty, courage, perseverance, gratitude, optimism, resilience, goodwill, determination, and genuine respect for one another, even when we disagree. These are just a few of the values I try to live by every day. And I see those same virtues in the people of northeast Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District.”

A People-Powered Movement for Northeast Wisconsin  |  Driven by People, Free From Corporate PAC Money  |  Forward Together: Reclaiming Our Regional Voice

“When I think about what’s broken in American politics, it’s not just the policies — it’s the tone, the attitude, the lack of decency. Somewhere along the way, we stopped expecting our leaders to lead with character. I think it’s time we focus on the common good, and I think you want that too.”

STEWARDSHIP  FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

A Different Kind of Democrat Running a Different Kind of Campaign

Our Commitments to Northeast Wisconsin

  • 100% Corporate PAC-Free: We accept zero dollars from corporate PACs, special interest groups, or party-machine funds. Mark represents the people of the 8th District, not the corporate donors undercutting our economic independence
  • The $5-per-Voter Budget Discipline: Politics should be about community trust, not a multi-million-dollar arms race. Our campaign strictly caps its overall operational spending at a disciplined $5 per voter across the district.
  • Keeping 90% of Campaign Dollars Local: We practice the economic sustainability we preach. Our goal is to have 90% of every dollar this campaign spent right here in Northeast Wisconsin—hiring local team members, supporting local events, and using in-district print shops and small business vendors.
  • Focusing on a Prosperity Economy: Our platform champions modern, common-sense solutions grounded in regional growth. This includes pushing forward the “Field to Flight” initiative—uniting our local agricultural, manufacturing, and technical training sectors to build an aviation and renewable energy innovation hub right here in the Fox Valley.
  • Tax Reform That Holds Billionaires Accountable: The current system allows giant corporations and billionaires to exploit endless loopholes, leaving regular families to foot the bill. Mark’s platform replaces this broken tax code with a simplified micro-tax on massive corporate and high-wealth financial transactions. By capturing revenue directly from these massive transactions, this system ensures the ultra-wealthy finally pay their fair share while lowering the burden on working families.
  • Civility and Objectivity Over Partisanship: We refuse to weaponize the politics of resentment and fear. Winning our district means building broad coalitions, bridging political divides, and anchoring national governance back in the common-sense, neighborly virtues of the good people of Wisconsin.
